2024 - 2025

My next exhibition. Celebrating digital art, and sharing the accessibility of digital art.

Artist

I am a passionate artist, and occasional art tutor, with over 11 years of experience instructing students in the art of painting, with specialties in painting abstractions using and watercolour.
I am also an active exhibiting artist in Australia and winner of the Artwork on easel section in 2022 in the Martin Hanson, Gladstone.
I have works are held in private collections across Australia and overseas.

Gallery exhibition

As well as existing physically in the gallery, interactive aspects of the exhibition will be available in real time, online.

My digital art comes from a place of pleasure. This is the core focus of the exhibition. And, sharing some of the many opportunities digital art provides. I believe that digital art is a form of at that removes some obstacles from creating art. You can create it anywhere. You get quick results if you
want to. Sharing is immediate. There is no big clean up. No new products to purchase and care for. I think of introducing digital painting to novices as introducing pencils and paper to kids. It offers so many unseen opportunities.

This exhibition is about the Low-Tech, Old-School, No-AI and No-Photoshop digital artworks I create now. With a combination of historical tools, digital wall displays, and interactive elements, I delve into and explore many relationships between visual cues and life responses.

Digital paintings and videos in the exhibition will be multilayered compositions of vivid and contrasting colours. With the theme of celebrating the power of contrast and the courage it takes to navigate invisible challenges.
